There are many designs to choose from, but I believe this DIY T-shirt refashion: Crochet Trim Seam is one of the best. At least, for me. Perfect for the hot summer days and the chilling on the beach.
This is such a great idea! You should definitely give it a try. Because, I believe you all have t-shirt that are no longer fitting. So, this is also a good idea of how to reuse an old t-shirt. Sewing the lace from the sides gives the t-shirt a number or two plus. Also, the result is simply awesome, it looks like a super expensive designer’s t-shirt.
You need only 3 things: A T-shirt, Crochet Trim (lace) and a sewing kit (machine).
It is done in a few very simple steps.
- Measure the trim (you will do front to back).
- Cut side seams and sleeves off if you use a t-shirt (here It is used a tank).
- Sew front to back right sides together.
- Lay out and pin where you want the armhole to go.
- Top stitch new side seam leaving armhole open.
There you go. In just a few easy steps you have your old T-shirt redesigned in a lovely piece of cloth. We hope you liked it.
