DIY project for the Day 65 is the super simple and Easy To Make DIY Bolero.
For this Easy To Make DIY Bolero project you will need a long piece of fabric, it is important for the fabric to be soft and stretchy, a pair of scissors and a sewing kit or sewing machine.
The first step you need to do is cut the fabric in a long stripe like in the picture below. If you don’t have a long enough piece, just sew a few pieces together.
A→ the measurement of the circumference of the open part of the sleeve (about 24cm);
B→ the measurement of the circumference of the shoulder part (about 36cm);
C→ the measurement of 1 1/2 the circumference of your chest (about 166cm;
D→ the length of the sleeve (about 46cm).
You should resize the measures depending on your own body measurements. Remember to make it a bit larger to be able to fit a sweater under it. Also, it should not be too long or it will fall down, or too short or it will be uncomfortable.
The next step for this Easy To Make DIY Bolero project is to pin and sew the sleeves part inside out. You should leave the rest open. Before sewing it, be sure to try it on.
Sew a little and fold on all the endges.
In the picture above, you can see how to wear this bolero. – Put a sleeve on, do a wrap around your chest, from behind to in front of you, then put on the other sleeve.
You are done.
Here is how the finished product looks.
Easy, simple to make and perfect for any time of the year. Use your imagination to choose different fabrics and add things on the bolero to bling it up.
