Zipper T Shirt DIY Tutorial is the tutorial we chose to show you for the Day 74 of the 365 DIY T Shirt project tutorials. With this tutorial you will make a one of a kind T Shirt that looks so chic and amazing that people will not believe that you made it on your own.
For this Zipper T Shirt DIY Tutorial project you will need an old T Shirt, a pair of scissors, zipper (about 22 inches) and a sewing kit or a sewing machine.
When it comes to the zipper, you will need a zipper that is in any color that you want and if you have a double zipper, then you will have to pry the little stoppers off the end and pull another zip through so that you have a double sided zipper.
The next step is to cut the T Shirt’s neck ribbing and the shoulder – sleeve seams. You will probably have to cut the sleeves to fit with the length of the zipper or adjust the zipper length if you don’t want to finish the sleeves again.
If you decide to use fabric instead of a T Shirt, then you need to cut two pieces of fabric that are as wide as the zipper (22 inches). If you want to finish the edges add a 1/4 inch seam allowance. The pieces should be about 40 inches long.
Your final step for this Zipper T Shirt DIY Tutorial project is to first iron the T Shirt or the pieces of fabric and then pin the zipper to the right sides. After you are done with that just sew the zipper to the T Shirt. You can do that by hand or use a sewing machine.
Now you are done and you have a new cool T Shirt.
Here are the pictures of the finished product.
And here it how it looks from above.
